The Thomases were our next-door neighbors on the Eastside. I spent many days at their home and playing in their yard. Miss Lovie will always be remembered as a happy woman who loved caring for her family. I was a talkative child, and she never seemed to mind my inquiries. I have thought of her often over the years.
