To Mother Myrline Collins and the entire Collins family;
Lisa was one of my sisters. Knowing each other and growing up together through our Church Denomination we traveled across the state of Michigan together going to meetings and services with her father, the late Rev. Walker Collins Sr., and my Grandfather, the late Rev. Calvin Lofton. We served as Missionaries in the Y.P.D. (Young People's and Children's Division of the Women's Missionary Society of the A.M.E. Church, and continued Missionary work into adulthood. We also traveled and sang with several community choirs and groups in our teen and young adult years until sickness took hold of her. Every time I saw her at a Church service I would speak to her and know that even though she couldn't talk to me she still had that sweet spirit and knew we loved her and were praying for her healing. I've learned throughout the years that God has different ways of healing, so instead of taking the sickness away from Lisa, he took her away from the sickness - and now she's free! No more sickness, no more pain no more worries of this world! Lisa is with her father and brother in Heaven where they can praise God all day long and wait for us to be with them one day. I will continue to remember the good times knowing my sister Lisa over the years, and I pray for all of your comfort and peace. Just remember that as ling as her name, however you called her, is spoken, she will never be gone from us. Stay strong and be blessed, and I love you all.
I remain,
Dr. Dalton C. Dexter
