I've known W.L. since East Junior High School and ended up being a Sergeant for me when I was a Captain at Lakeland Correctional Faciliity in Coldwater. He had a great way with people, never saw him angry, and truly was one of the fastest runners I ever saw. May he rest in peace an God Bless Him! Sincerely. Bob Smith

WL was the fastest man in Jackson. I had the privelage to play football with him in 10th grade at JHS and he was our star running back. His friendly smile and outgoing personality made it easy to call him friend of which he had a lot and I was lucky to count myself as one back in the day.
