Wanda Rupert's Obituary
On February 1, 1945 in Birmingham, Alabama, God gave a beautiful gift of life full of love to Roger and Ollie Rupert, a daughter named WANDA RUPERT. Wanda was the eldest of two daughters.
Because of Wanda’s love for the Lord; she was baptized at the age of 14 in Detroit, Michigan, at Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church under the Pastoral leadership of founder Rev. Joe Davis.
Wanda attended and graduated from Cass-Commerce High School in Detroit, Michigan in 1963. She continued her educational pursuit by completing all requirements at the International Data Processing Institute of Detroit and was very proficient in computer technology.
Wanda was employed at General Motors Corporation in Plant Security for many years, where she took pride in her work until her retirement.
Wanda loved watching her “Soaps” and working her crossword puzzles. She loved and enjoyed God; life, people and she had a unique sense of fashion for clothes and jewelry. She also had a special love for animals and children.
Wanda never married nor had she any birthed children, however, God gave her a special motherly love and caring sense for her niece Sonja, nephew Roger and great nephew Justin. Wanda loved her family and she was an active member of her Family Reunion Club.
Wanda departed this life on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 and is now resting in the loving arms of God. She leaves to cherish her loving memories; her only sibling Rita Scott; one niece Sonja Carr; one nephew Roger Scott; one great/grandnephew Justin Peoples; one Uncle James Rupert (Barbara); two Aunts: Dicy Seaberry of Romulus and Sally Rice of Chicago, IL; cousin Ann Martin of Birmingham, AL and cousin Ruth Pettis of Nashville, TN; two special cousins/sisters Carolyn Harlen and Cheryl McCary, a special friend, Beatrice McDonald, her pet bird “Baby Girl” whom she loved and adored and a host of many friends and relatives that were near and dear to her heart.
