Vance Carlton Holt's Obituary
Vance Carlton Holt, “Tink” was born on September 2, 1955, to the union of Vance Edwin and LaDon Jewel (Woods) Holt, who preceded him in death. He was the fifth born of ten siblings. One son; Kevin proceeded him in death also. Vance attended Inkster High School, and later received his diploma. He worked various jobs. As a young man he worked at Holt & Sons Gas Station a family owned business, Churches Chicken, operated as a limousine driver for Mr. Ben Hayes, and presently worked as an entrepreneur in landscaping. Vance was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit of God gave the utterance at Bethlehem Temple of Inkster, where the late Bishop Allen J. McRae was Pastor. Vance later moved his membership from Bethlehem Temple of Inkster to Greater Grace Temple of Taylor (O.G. Hayes Memorial) where Bishop Gary Harper is Pastor. Vance served on the Deacon Board. After a space of time, Vance moved to Jackson, Michigan moving his membership to Greater Bibleway Temple where Bishop Ira Combs, Jr. is Pastor. While serving there, he met Sister Angela Charleston, whom he later married on July 8, 2004. Vance loved his wife Angela. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and family. He had a joyful demeanor, often exhibited himself as a comedian. He loved making one laugh. He was very outgoing and loved keeping busy. Vance leaves to cherish his memory, his wife; Angela, four daughters; Vanesha, Krystal, Passion and Domanique, three sons; Antonio, Mareo (Jannifer) and Carl(Tawinna), seven grandsons; Legend, Dangelo, Sircarus, Paysean, Isacc, Antwaun and Antonio, Jr., five granddaughters; Arianna, Passion, Jazelle, Miriah and Marianna, seven brothers, Bruce (Mary), Revien (Ora), Dennis (Louetta), Bryant (Sherie), Gary, Fabian, and Anthony (Brenda), two sisters; Vanessa (William) and Shawn, one close friend; Brother Mo Amos, and a host of relatives and friends.
