Taylin Dequon Alexander's Obituary
On July 22, 1994, Taylin Dequon Alexander was the bundle of joy delivered to Katrina Stephens and Deon (Quita) Chapman.
Taylin spent his whole life in the Jackson Public Schools System. After graduating he started working at various jobs. He even tried his hands at boxing and martial arts.
Around the age of 20, Taylin experienced the joy of his life. He became a father, Taylin cherished Iszabella Alexander and later Arya Horton. Those two were definitely “Daddy’s Girls,” and there was nothing that he wouldn’t do for them. Taylin was not only that way for his girls, but also for his family members. When family would have gatherings at Paw-Paw’s house, Taylin made sure that he and the girls were there. His smile would be like the SUN shining inside and it would bring warmth along with it.
We’re really not sure if he had ever met a stranger, because he would help anyone if he could. There wasn’t an evil bone in his body. Taylin started his detailing business, Detail Bro’s and when he cleaned a car he put his all into it, just like anything else he put his mind to.
Taylin was a mentor to the younger African-American males in Jackson and he would do whatever he could to brighten someone’s day. Taylin showed others that you can have whatever you want, if you work hard for it. He worked hard at everything he did.
Taylin departed this life February 27, 2022 and he leaves behind to carry on his legacy, two darling daughters; Iszabella and Arya, Mother; Katrina Stephens, Father; Deon (Quita) Chapman, Sisters; DeMonica Williams, Talesha Stephens, Simin Alexander, Tienja Alexander, brothers; Deon Stephens, Alton Alexander, Jr., William (Susan) Alexander, Grandparents; Robert (Rossalind) Stephens, Sr., Rosalyn Swanson, Aunts’; Salina Stephens, Michelle (Jeremiah) Bacon-Kerns, Uncles; Robert Stephens, Jr., Tommie Stephens, Lloyd Chapman, Rob Chapman, great-aunts, great-uncles, and a plethora of cousins, friends and associates.
Although, the man Taylin does not exist on earth, his spirit will remain forever.
