Shearly Ann Patterson-Wilson's Obituary
Shearly “Shirley” Patterson-Wilson was born July 10, 1949 in Brantley, Alabama to the union of the late Raymond Arthur Patterson and Nina Murl Wade. Shirley’s parents both preceded her in death in 1982. Nina passed on May 27, 1982 and Raymond passed on August 7, 1982. Shirley was also preceded in death by her twin sons, Marque and Marquis Wilson.
Shirley is survived by her husband of forty-five years, Woodrow Wilson, Jr. Woodrow and Shirley were married on November 20, 1970, while they were both in college.
Shirley attended Jackson Public Schools and graduated in 1967. She then attended Jackson Community College, now known as Jackson College. Shirley transferred to Olivet College and graduated in 1973 with a degree in Sociology. Later, Shirley took some graduate courses from Eastern Michigan University.
Shirley was employed in the banking industry, the Community Action Agency, and finally by Children’s Services for the State of Michigan. Shirley retired on September 22, 2006.
On the Patterson side of the family, Shirley is survived by uncles; Harold and James, aunts; Rachel, Pearl, Queen and Betty. On the Wade side of the family Shirley is survived by aunts; Jewel, Virginia, Mary and Becky.
Shirley’s special friends are; Connie Wilson, Rosalind Griffin, Jill McKinney, Louvenia Seals, Debronjia Moorehead, Tonia Jones, Barbara Davis and Mrs. C. Harris.
