Shanieka Denise Iveson's Obituary
Shanieka Denise Iveson was born to Sandra Juanita Josephine Iveson on September 26, 1984 in Jackson Michigan. Shanieka was called “Niek” by those closest to her. Shanieka obtained her GED and attended college online. She was diagnosed with sickle cell anemia at 4 years of age, and had frequent hospitalizations throughout her life due to this diagnosis. Shanieka found joy in her 3 little miracles; Isiah Marquis, 15 years old, Amiyah Nashay, 12 years old, and Serenity Monae, 6 years old. She was a frugal stay at home mother and knew how to stretch her dollars. She spent time shopping, couponing, singing, helping others and cooking. She was fun, loving, and always laughing. When she felt well, she would often take her children on trips such as; Michigan Adventures, Splash Universe, and Great Wolfe Lodge. Shanieka passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 12, 2018 in her home. She was preceded in death by her grandmother; Doris Dupree, and Grandfathers; Roger Dupree and Lindsey Hatten. Shanieka leaves to cherish in her memory, her mother; Sandra Iveson, son; Isiah Hakeem, daughters; Amiyah and Serenity Hakeem, brothers; Stephen Glaspie, Wardell and Evan Willis, one sister; Mi’keyia Iveson all of Jackson, Michigan and her grandmother; Jennie Johnson of Mississippi, several aunts, uncles and cousins, special friends; Mary and Isiah Hakeem, Terrance Walters, and a very special aunt ;Sarah Iveson.
