Rev. Rogers Wayne Bonds was born December 7,1950 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Walter L. Bonds, Sr. andClara M. Bonds. He departed this life on December 13, 2019 atHenry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home in Jackson, Michigan. Rogers accepted Christ at an early age at St. John Baptist Churchin Covington, Tenseness. He attended Avery Chapel grade schooland graduated from Frazier High School. He pastored ChristianFellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Jackson, Michigan.Roger also sang with the Sunlites Revived Group. He leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter, a loving sister;Clarice Carter, a niece; Tracy Bonds, a nephew; Albert Hill,and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, sister-in-law, andfriends. Rev. Bond’s presence will be missed by all who knew him forhe was always entertaining family and friends with his sense ofhumor.
