Robert Dungy's Obituary
Robert McBride Dungy passed away at his home at the age of 93. He was born August 18, 1926 to Archie Wayne Dungy, Sr. and Gladys Dungy. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother; Archie Wayne Dungy, Jr., and his wife; Mary Sue Hughes Dungy of 56 yrs.
After graduation from Jackson High School in 1945 he went to work at the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. Later he joined the Armed Services, serving in World War II and serving twice in the Korean (War) Conflict, than he was a Veteran. After returning from the Service he went back to Goodyear and retired after 40 years.
Mr. Dungy was an avid lover of sports and loved to travel each year to California and Remus, Michigan to family gatherings.
Left to morn from his passing are his sister; Patricia Morrison of Jackson, Michigan, nieces; Diane Kimbrough, of Jackson, Michigan, Sherrie Tyler of Commerce, Michigan, and Marcia Stokes of Sevierville, Tennessee, as well as many cousins and friends.
Per Roberts request he asked that there be no funeral services. Burial will be at Woodland Cemetery.
