Radie J. Brewer's Obituary
Mother Radie J. Brewer was born April 18, 1923 in Pine Bluff, (of Jefferson County) Arkansas, the daughter of the late James Johnson and Susan Branch Johnson. She attended the Mulberry Grove and Rosenwall Public Schools in Arkansas.
At a very young age she confessed her Hope and Faith and gave her Life to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She loved the Lord, enjoyed going to church and serving anyway she could.
Nothing was more important to her than family, especially her grandchildren. She was a glowing example of a proud mother. She shared her love, joy, time and wisdom to all those who had the opportunity to know her. She was never too busy to lend a listening ear and loved to help everyone.
She was preceded in death by her parents; James Johnson and Susan Branch Johnson, a brother; Tommy Lee Johnson, three sisters; Silvia L. Darrough, Valdora Neely and Pearlie Mae Horton, and three of her children; Bertha Berry, Herman Whitlow and Ellistine Gaddy.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, daughters; Hurselene Silverman of Humphery, Arkansas, Linda Jones of Jackson, Michigan, and Cozetta Matthews of Jackson, Michigan, a son; Elzie H. Whitlow of Los Angeles, California, a special niece; Lorean Burton of Jackson, Michigan and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews , cousins, other relatives and friends.
