Patricia Manina Foy's Obituary
Patricia Manina Foy was born January 30, 1959. She was the fourth child of eight children born to Booker T. Foy, Sr. and Sarah Foy Hamilton. Patricia attended the Detroit Public Schools. She was baptized at an early age at Eastlake Baptist Church. She worked as a bartender at the Brass Bar and also the Torch Bar where she was much loved by everyone; she also was a child care provider.
Pat was full of life! She loved her family, had a heart of gold and anyone who knew her knew her favorite saying was “excuse me for being Patricia”. She was the life of the party; dancing? You couldn’t touch her! She was a fantastic cook (string beans would make you cry), and she loved “Bingo”. Along with being a great mother, Pat also was an awesome grandmother and great grandmother.
After a lengthy illness she was called to her eternal resting place on July 8, 2016. Pat was preceded in death by her father; Booker T. Foy, Sr., mother; Sarah Foy Hamilton, stepmother; Odessa Foy, stepfather; Adelbert Hamilton, two brothers; Derrick Foy and Andre Foy, one sister; NJuan Irby, two grandmothers; Inell Judkins and Isabella Foy, grandfather; Profit Judkins, two aunts and eleven uncles.
Patricia leaves to cherish her loving memory, her daughter; Makala Foy, son; Grover Foy, five sisters; Yolanda Foy Braxton (Wayne), Tamela Foy, Janice Gray, Eicha Foy, and Trina Curry, four brothers; Keith Judkins (Vivian), Booker Foy, Jr., Kevin Foy (Toi), and Raynell, nine grandchildren; Matice, Martez (Jessica), Demetrius, Demarco, Daija, Deanaija, Javon, Trayvon and Tayon, five great-grandchildren; Paris, Jayden, Da’Marion, Zephaniah, Jerica and Ta’Riyah, her niece that she helped raise; Dionyell Foy {Nook}, two god-daughters; Victoria West and Le’Aslia Manning and a host of nephews, nieces and friends.
