Pamela Keene's Obituary
Pamela Wilson Keene was born September 11, 1957, to the union of John and Julius Wilson in Alcoa, Tennessee. Pam was the seventh of nine children.
She was educated in the Alcoa Public School system. She graduated from Alcoa High School in 1975, and received her Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Berea College in 1979. She was employed as a Family Service Coordinator at the Oakland Livingston Human Resources Agency, and retired in June 2013.
She met and married the love of her life, Timothy R. Keene. To this union three children were born: Lauren, Timothy, Jr. and Seth.
Pam accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She never stopped loving and serving the Lord. Her service included: President of the Sisterhood, Secretary of the Missionary Department and First Lady of the Eastside Church of God; Northern District Ministers’ Wives Guild president; and Program Chairperson for the National Ministers’ Wives Guild.
She loved to travel, study the bible, and was an avid sports fan and a great historian. You would often hear her quoting her favorite bible verses from Psalms 145:8,9. “The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.”
Pam leaves to keep safe her cherished memories, a devoted and loving husband; Timothy, one daughter and two sons, Lauren, Timothy, Jr. and Seth. She is also survived by four sisters; Glendon (Calvin) Swan, Rhonda (Robert) Mayberry, Sharon (Thomas) Dixon and Charlayne (Richard) Watkins, and three brothers; Dwight Ferguson, Gene Ferguson, and John Wilson, Jr., an aunt; Marva Reed of Alcoa, Tennessee, a mother-in-law; Emma Keene, four brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
