Mildred Louise Breedlove's Obituary
Mildred Louise Breedlove was born July 18, 1940, in Lexington, Tennessee to Wallace Smith, Sr. and Elizabeth Henry. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; Wallace Smith, Sr. and Elizabeth Henry, three brothers; Wallace Smith, Thomas Smith, and James Williams, two sisters; Jeanette Reynolds and Celestine Hall, one granddaughter; Shaunta Breedlove, one sister-in-law; Linda Breedlove, and her ex-husband; Columbus Breedlove.
When her health permitted Mildred enjoyed arts, and crafts; in May of 1997 she received her degree in Design. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, shopping, reading the bible, praying and helping others. In addition, Mildred enjoyed gardening and freezing food and cooking lots of food to feed others; she was best known for baking cakes.
Mildred was called to ministry and received her license in August of 1997, at Faith Temple Church of God in Christ, located in Jackson, Michigan. Being led through the spirit, she was called to minister to young single mothers until her health no longer permitted. Mildred continued to praise and serve the Lord until God called her home on September 30, 2016.
She leaves to cherish her memory seven children; Denise Murrell, Jeffrey (Greta) Breedlove, and Dewayne Breedlove, all of Atlanta, GA; Stephanie (Larry) Breedlove-Pryor, of Jackson, Michigan, Danny Breedlove of Marshall, Michigan,Tony Breedlove and Kenneth (Barbara) Breedlove, both of Lansing, Michigan, four sisters; Barbara (Bonnie) Glenn, of Humboldt, Tennessee, Sharon Williams of Plano, Texas, Alma Jean (John) Bruce of Anolop, CA, and Faye Smith of Denver Colorado, one brother; Sherman Smith of Jackson, Michigan.
She also leaves eleven grandchildren; Lareesa Breedlove, Ashely Suddeth, Alyssa Breedlove, Dominic Kilgore, Mercedee Davis, Tyler Breedlove, Meldrick Breedlove, Kenneisha Breedlove, Mychael Breedlove, Devonte Breedlove, and Danny Breedlove; seven great grandchildren, three God children, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and special people in her life; especially James Bradley.
