Mary Ann Funches' Obituary
Mary Ann Funches was born October 24th 1946 in Hayti, Missouri to the late Anna Lee Boyd. She moved to Jackson, Michigan in the 1960’s where she married Eugene Funches and raised five children together. After the death of her husband she became an employee at the Sheraton Inn in Jackson. Years later, she became a foster parent for the State of Michigan for over 20 years, also a daycare provider.
Mary Ann accepted the Lord at an early age and was faithful to the church and had a strong Christian foundation, which she instilled in her family and those that surrounded her. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, working in her garden, and spending time with her loved ones. Her desire to help others in need made her loved by many. Wherever she went, she always made a friend and reminded them about the love of Jesus.
Mary Ann Funches was preceded in death by her Mother Anna Lee Boyd, Husband Eugene Funches, Son Eddie D. Funches, and Daughter Angela Funches.
She leaves to cherish her memories Son Charles Boyd, Daughters Rennia (Thomas) Tylutki, Connie (Al) Williams, Ernestine (Lonnie) Davis of Flint,MI and Barbara Jean Funches of Chicago IL. 8 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, cousins, and friends, and a special appreciation to cousin Delores Jiles.
