Lucile Davis' Obituary
Lucile Davis was born July 17, 1922, in Dublin, Georgia to her parents, Wade and Magnolia Brown. She departed this life to be with the Lord on October 24th, 2018, surrounded by her loving family at Jackson County Medical Care Facility. She was preceded in death by her parents; Wade and Magnolia Brown, seven brothers; Johnny Brown, Grover Brown, Wade Brown, Jr., Hogan Brown, James Brown, Douglas Brown, and Felton Brown, four sisters; Rosa Lewis, Daisy Hughes, Mary Blue, and Patricia Brown, and husbands; Charles Jones and J.D. Davis, Minister. Lucile committed her life to the Lord at an early age and was a lifelong member of The Church of Christ. She was a Sunday School Teacher for many years. Lucile was a woman of God who loved her family and devoted her life to helping others. She enjoyed gardening, cooking big dinners, knitting, drawing, and listening to Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, and Sam Cooke. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her only child; Doris (John) Taylor, five grandchildren; Tonay (Kathy) Brown, Kim Scruggs, Tamara (Terry) Parker, Terri Patterson, and Dana Taylor, eleven great- grandchildren, six great- great grandchildren, one sister; Patricia Brown, two special sisters-in-laws, Leoma Brown and Florene Brown, and a host of family and friends.
