Lewis Johnson's Obituary
Lewis Johnson was Born in Monroe, Louisiana and was the youngest of five children born to the late Irma L. Johnson.
Lewis accepted Christ at an early age. He was baptized and joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Rayville, Louisiana.
Lewis was a quiet and caring child, a great student, and one who took pride in his appearance. He was a family first man who always made sure you were taken care of.
Lewis graduated from Rayville high school in 1972. He then continued his education at Grambling State University, followed by Louisiana Tech University.
After relocating to Jackson, Michigan in the late 80’s he attended Spring Arbor University where he received his bachelors degree. He soon obtained an office space to practice family and drug abuse counseling to those in need.
Amidst these amazing accomplishments, Lewis met his love and best friend Theresa R. Smith in the early 90’s. These two made and raised a beautiful family of all girls.
Lewis did not relish the spotlight and wasn’t a bolster. Though he preferred his privacy, his legacy will shine bright for years to come through the many lives he has touched. He leaves to cherish his memory: His co-partner and best friend, Theresa Smith; Four daughters, Florina Smith, Maginta Smith, Kiara Smith, and Genina Smith; Eight grandchildren; Three sisters, Florida heard, Stella Clark, and Delores Jones; Devoted brother, John Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by a loving mother, Irma L. Johnson, and grandmother, Virginia Johnson.
