Kelvin Lee Meeks Sr.'s Obituary
The earthly life of Kelvin Lee Meeks, Sr. came to an end on Sunday, March 6, 2022. Kelvin was born September 6, 1958 to Kenneth and Barbara Meeks, who both preceded him in death.
Kelvin attended and graduated from Jackson Public Schools, Class of 1977.
Kelvin worked in several different factories throughout his life. He enjoyed detailing cars, playing spades and dominos with family and friends, and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. He also loved barbequing on the grill. He was known for riding his bike around town with his favorite oldies playing through the speakers that he had hung on the back of his bike.
Kelvin is survived by his special companion; Ralpha Dunlap, two children; Shanika Clay of Detroit, Michigan and Kelvin (Krystal) Meeks, Jr. of Jackson, Michigan, two brothers; Clifton (Rita) Meeks of Atlanta, Georgia, and Terry Meeks of Jackson, Michigan, one sister; Sherrie (Dwayne) Campbell of Jackson, Michigan, eight grandchildren; Shanice Boland, Kevin Hardman, Jr, Jashiya Meeks, Ashlee Grumelot, Taesean Bartkowiak, Karionna Meeks, Kaijsa Meeks, and Kalayah Meeks, two great-grandchildren, one uncle; Thomas (Joyce) Duffey of Lewisburg, Kentucky, two aunts; Larene Duffey of Louisville, Kentucky and Brenda Duffey of Russellville, Kentucky, and one great-aunt; Elizabeth Mason of Russellville, Kentucky. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
