Joseph Jerome Evans' Obituary
Joseph “Joe” Jerome Evans was born on September 25, 1963 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Jesse and Geraldine Evans. He was the second born of three children.
Joseph received Christ at an early age and was baptized at Saint Phillip’s Catholic Church under the leadership of Father Don.
Joseph was educated in the Detroit Public School System. After high school Joseph enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. Joseph returned home after honorably serving his country for three years and began his career in the advertising industry. He had a long and fulfilling career lasting over 30 years, most recently working at Doner Advertising in Southfield, Michigan.
Joseph enjoyed traveling with his wife Joann, family and friends, and was an avid golfer. Joe was a genuinely gifted socialite who has left emptiness in the hearts of his family, friends and co-workers. To know him was to love him. Joe lived his life to the fullest and will be missed by all who were blessed to know him.
Joseph departed this life on Monday, May 23, 2016. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife of 29 years; Mrs. Joann Carson-Evans, son; Christopher Carson, brother; Douglas Evans (Theresa) of Seattle, Washington, sister; Glenda Evans, of Warren Michigan, three grandchildren; Alaija, Christopher Jr and Caleb Carson, nephew; Sterling Evans, of Seattle, Washington. He also leaves his aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of relatives and friends.
