Pastor Jeremy A Caldwell's Obituary
~ The Obituary ~
Jeremy A Caldwell was born September 26, 1977 in Southfield, Michigan to the union of Paris and Elaine Caldwell, along with his twin brother Jason. Jeremy was the first born twin, and he gracefully accepted the big brother role.
He accepted Christ and was baptized at age 12; by his late grandfather Pastor Lonnie Joe, Sr. at New Bright Star M.B.C., Detroit, Michigan. He was very involved in church activities as a child.
Jeremy shared a special bond with his mother. She trained him up in the things of God and cultivated a strong foundation of faith. Jeremy was a member of the “Caldwell Singers”, his family’s singing group. He and his siblings enjoyed a happy childhood, filled with laughter and love, surrounded, protected and supported by a huge loving family. Jeremy spent a lot of time with his little cousins and was an excellent role model. Jeremy’s love for family was formed in these foundational years.
Jeremy was educated in the Jackson Public School system. He earned an Associate’s degree in 2000.
Jeremy's exceptional artistic, creative and musical abilities were evident at a very early age. He loved to sing, play piano and drums. He was the owner and founder of “AMC Creative”, a successful airbrush business established in 2002.
In 2005, he married the love of his life, Ashley Monique, and to their union four beautiful children were born, Aniya (20), Jaden (16), Myles (14) and Alani (10). Jeremy instilled his faith, strength and generosity into his children. He reared them all with a firm, loving hand. In 2019 he had the amazing privilege of baptizing his oldest son Jaden. His family was, and still is everything to him!
Jeremy's work ethic was undeniable; he worked hard to provide for his family and didn’t hesitate to share what he had with those in need. He thrived on giving and making sure everyone around him was good. He loved to spend quality time with family and friends. His generous hospitality and keen sensitivity to the needs of those around him drew multitudes of people to him and his family. He was a no nonsense guy, with strong convictions, but he also loved to laugh and enjoy life!
Many were led to the Lord Jesus Christ because of Jeremy’s intentional witness and mentorship. He not only preached the gospel of Christ but exemplified a life demonstrating how to protect, provide and lead as a godly man.
In 2009 Jeremy was ordained to preach at Dominion Ministries, where he served faithfully under the leadership of Pastor Alfonzo Butler. Jeremy served as minister of music and knew how to get the church “rocking” and usher in the Spirit of God.
In September of 2014, Jeremy started Redeemed Ministries in Jackson, Michigan. The ministry thrived and grew under his strong leadership. His unique anointing for faith, family and prosperity continue to flourish outside of the four walls of the church.
In 2020, Jeremy faced a serious health crisis. Together he and his wife stood on Isaiah 41:10, and in the face of that challenge, Jeremy’s faith grew stronger than ever. He fought the “good fight of faith”, he ran his race and he finished his course.
Jeremy was never alone or without support. There were many who sacrificed to help provide hands-on care for him. We praise God for His ministering angels who encamped themselves around Jeremy during his battle. Some of them had wings and some of them did not, special thanks and acknowledgement to all of his angels without wings, his faithful wife; Ashley, his loving children; Aniya, Jaden, Myles & Alani, his friend and final caretaker; Pastor Mike Williams, his friend; Holmes Drayton, his sister; Elizabeth Alexander. Special thanks to Pastor Brian Suddeth for standing in as interim pastor for Redeemed Ministries and Pastor Flem Peacher for his friendship and support.
Jeremy leaves to cherish his memory, his loving, faithful, ride or die wife; Ashley, four precious children; Aniya, Jaden, Myles and Alani, his mother, Elaine Caldwell, his father; Paris (Joyce) Caldwell, three siblings; Elizabeth (Codrigus), twin brother Jason (Sharonda), and Paul, mother-in-love; Tina Glenn, father-in-love; Carlos (Susie) Glenn, three sister-in-loves; Mia (Antuan), Carlotta and Dominique, his nephews and nieces who he loved dearly, loving uncles, aunts and cousins, and his Redeemed church family, and a host of relatives and friends.
Jeremy made an unforgettable impact in the lives of all he touched. He will be forever in our hearts and greatly, greatly missed.
“His Lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”
Matthew 25:23 KJV
