James Theo Robinson's Obituary
James Theo Robinson was born August 26, 1929 to the late Theo and Josephine Robinson, he departed this life February 4,2017. We celebrate the life of this kind and gentle giant of a man.
James was a loving husband to the late Dorothy Holmon Robinson, and a father to the late Cathy Holmon who preceded him in death along with five siblings; Edward Lee, Blanchard, Walter, George (Billy) and Shirley Jean Oliver.
James moved to Jackson in 1945 and worked for the Junction Railroad, Jackson Public Schools and Kelsey Hayes, where he retired from after thirty-eight years.
He had a passion for boating and fishing. He also enjoyed working in his yard and being, “Mr. Fix-it” around the house. He was loved by all who met him, and was especially loved at the Ganton Countryside Care Center where he resided for six years.
James is survived by five children; Joan Frederick, Jackie Holmon, Sylvester Holmon, Rewa Cawthon and Jason Cawthon, two siblings; Doris Westbrook and Richard Robinson, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends, he also leaves behind a very special granddaughter; Wendy Little, who he raised, and two very special friends; Clint Abrams and Ollie Hill.
