Jacqueline Turner's Obituary
On May 23, 2018 our beloved Jacqueline Turner was unexpectedly called home at the young age of 56.
Jackie, as she liked to be called, was born November 11th, 1961 to William & Louise Turner. She relocated to the Detroit area from Covington, Tennessee with her family when she was 7 years old. She received her education with the Detroit Public School System’s Kettering High School. Jackie was a hard worker and held a few jobs over the years. In the 1980’s she worked alongside her mother Louise in Eastwood Nursing Home. Through the 1990’s & 2000’s she worked at Horizon and Palmer respectively until she was unable to physically continue working.
In January of 1984 Jackie welcomed a baby girl Tiffany into the family. Sixteen years later in 2000 she welcomed her son Trevon into the world. They were a very important part in her life and she loved them intensely.
Being the devoted mother she was, Jackie loved to feed her family and was a great cook. She was called upon often to provide homecooked meals for anyone who wanted a plate. Jackie was the life of every party she attended and most certainly the center of attention. Jackie also loved to ballroom and hustle and loved to sing along to her favorite song. She loved to laugh but wouldn’t hesitate to put her foot down on anyone who wasn’t behaving or in protection of her family. She had become a family figurehead and will always be loved and missed.
Preceding her in death were her father and mother; William & Louise Turner, brother; William Edward Turner, Jr., sisters; Vivian Turner and Annie Fay Turner. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter; Tiffany Turner, son; Trevon Turner, sisters; Bobbie J. Smith, Paulette Benton, Patti Turner, Deloris Gund, Virgilaine Turner, and Denise Turner, and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews including special niece Ebony Smith and longtime best friends Angela Taylor and Grant Philson.
