Mom, it's been 5 months and I still don't understand. It's still hard to know that you are absent from your body. I visit your grave site often trying to find understanding, I guess I will find out when we are together again but I do know one thing and that is you are in a way better place than we are right now. What a Beautiful Homegoing Celebration of Life! All of the reflections and the Outstanding Eulogy brought back many fond memories we, the New Hope, Grand Rapids and Williams Families all share of our Wonderful, Classy, Poised and God-fearing Sister in Christ, Gaynell Washington.
We were Blessed that she made New Hope her church home, where many lifelong relationships developed! Gaynell traveled with our family to many family reunions, where she would voluntarily chauffeur our parents to and from various cities across the USA. She participated in many of our celebrations and was never a stranger to any place she stepped foot in.
Although there became a distance between us, and life brought on many challenges, victories changes, we never lost connection and love for one another. We thank God for the time He allowed us to be together and will forever cherish our friendships. Gaynell was indeed an Amazing, Incredible Person and she will be sorely missed. Rest Well, our Dear Sister! Rest Well!

Sending our deepest condolences to the family of Mrs. Gaynell Washington. We thank God for allowing her to become part of our Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church family and for blessing us with a wonderful "Auntie". Her smile always filled our hearts with joy and will be a lasting reminder of the wonderful woman God blessed us with.
