Gary Lee Parker's Obituary
Mr. Gary Lee Parker, a longtime resident of Jackson, Michigan passed away on September 29, 2016 at the age of 63. Gary was born on October 28, 1952 in Kennet, Missouri.
Gary attended Jackson High School and was a member of the Wrestling Team. He also played football for the Jackson Chargers. His favorite teams were the Detroit Lions and MSU Spartans.
Gary loved watching sports, photography and discussing all current events. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed life and laughter. Gary loved his family and loved a good debate, especially with his uncles.
He worked several years for the U.S. Railroad, Oldsmobile and CNC Machines. He was a member of Word of Light Christian Center, where he worked with the Seeds of Love Food Pantry and kept the church grounds. Gary fought a long battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis and kept a positive upbeat outlook all the way to the end.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Patricia Artis-Parker and his grandfather John E. Parker. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother; Dorothy White and Stepfather; Ossie White Sr. He is also survived by his grandmother; Mary L. Parker, three sisters; Diane Washington (Starlon), Vera McLemore, and Darlene White, four brothers; Wayne White (Beverly), Ossie White, Jr., Robert White, and Maurice White (Diane). He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
