Fred Washington Heard's Obituary
Fred Washington Heard, Jr. passed away on February 9, 2017 peacefully in his sleep at the Hospice Home.
Fred was born December 16, 1949 in Buena Vista, Georgia to the late Fred Washington, Heard, Sr. and Mina Heard.
During high school at Parkside, Fred excelled in track. After graduating Parkside High School, he joined the Marines during the Vietnam Era.
Fred was mechanically inclined. He had worked in maintenance and has always challenged himself to fixing what was broke.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Mina Heard, brother Larry and sister Theresa.
Fred leaves three daughters, Marvena Smith of Indiana, Rhonika and Dwynetta Thomas of Wisconsin; five grandkids and two great grandkids, four brothers; Roger (Gwen) Heard, of Ypsilanti, Michigan, Joseph, Wilber, and Jerome Heard of Jackson, Michigan; two sisters, Dianne (Larry) Baltimore and Tammy (Joe) Prather all of Jackson, Michigan and many other uncles, aunts, loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
