Frances Ann Thomas' Obituary
Frances Ann Thomas was born on February 14, 1949 in Chicago, IL to John Parker and Mildred Elaine Kaschub. After losing her parents, she was raised by her uncle and aunt Felix and Annie Parker, who she lovingly called Poppy and Mama. She moved to Jackson at a young age where she spent the rest of her life. As a child, Frances attended Second Missionary Baptist Church. She worked as a babysitter before she became a housekeeper at the Ostego Hotel in downtown Jackson. Frances was crazy about her family, she loved getting together and spending time with them. She was such a beautiful soul, to know her was to love her. She was one of the most kindhearted people and would give her last to help someone out. Frances enjoyed sewing, cooking,listening to music, and talking on the phone for hours. After special trips with her granddaughter,she developed a love for traveling and spending time at the casino. Frances is preceded in death by both sets of parents, John and Elaine, and Felix and Annie; her husband Earl “T” Thomas; sister in law Evie Blythe Obasi; special sisters Patricia Anderson (Worthey), Gena Hester, and Collette Bills; special nephew Terry Lamont Worthey, and her beloved dog Lola Bear. Frances was the matriarch of her family. She leaves to cherish her memory; 2 daughters, Anna (LaTonia) Blythe, Melody (Tim) Jones; 5 grandchildren, Siteshia, Amonte (Terrica), Desire (Bryant), Alia (Johnathan), and Rapheal; 12 great grandchildren, Asia, Mariyah, KorTaja, Anisti, Mekhi, Caleb, Kharon, Khalil, Myra, Amira, Malaysia, and Demeco; sister, Cleo (Paul) Gilmore; nephew, Clay Gilmore; nieces Dawn and Paula Gilmore; cousin Evelyn, special nieces Sonya (Terry) Wilson and Heather, special nephew Chris Worthey; special friends LB and Peaches;and a host of other relatives and friends.
