Edwina Upchurch's Obituary
Edwina Murray Upchurch, age 82, of Jackson, departed the world February 27, 2017 at home. She was born in Louisville, Mississippi, the 3rd child of Robert and Susie Murray, who both preceded her in death.
She was a devoted nurse of 33 years and retired from Foote Hospital, now known as Henry Ford Allegiance Health. She was a noted and avid lover of shopping, gardening, and traveling to visit family as well as far-away places.
Edwina was a valued member of Second Missionary Baptist church where she enjoyed being part of her church’s choir, as it afforded her to share her beautiful voice in praise of our LORD.
Mrs. Upchurch was also preceded in death by her sister; Doris, her husband; Reuben, and three nephews; Michael, Terry, and Tony.She is survived by her beloved children; Todd and Michaela Upchurch, one grandson; Taison, all of Austin, Texas, one sister; Sandra, of Las Vegas, Nevada, two brothers; Robert, Jr. of Jackson, Michigan and Willie J. of Las Vegas, Nevada, and her Aunt Kate of Maywood, Illinois and Uncle Gilford, of Glen Carbon, Illinois. She also leaves a host of adored nephews, nieces, cousins to cherish her memories.
