Edward Earl Hammond, "Earl the Pearl" was born on November 11, 1938 in Yazoo, Mississippi, he passed away on February 22, 2016 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, Clifton and Lizzie Hammond. He was employed at S and W Railroad Manufacturing Company as an Andozier for fifteen years in Chicago.
Earl leaves to cherish his memories, his wife; Kittie, daughter; Tayana, son; Alonzo (Andrea), two sisters; Vera and Obie Hammond of Chicago, brother-in-law’s; Melvin, Gregory, Bennie (Sharon), Michael (Nichelle), Timothy (Lisa), sister-in-law’s; Barbara (Johnny), Bonita (Kenneth), Jamie, and Rosemary all of Jackson, Michigan, thirteen grandchildren; Mikel, Christal, Ty, Alon, Birdie, Alonta, Ameer, Keith, James, Cortez, Delonzo, Quintin, and Darnell, and eight great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews relatives and special friends.
