Doris Wanda Ross' Obituary
On May 21, 2016, our earth angel Doris Wanda Ross, AKA “Mama Doris” & “Doe-Doe”, went home to glory after a brief illness. At 95 years young to her, age was nothing but a number. Her zeal for life inspired all who knew her. Mama Doris was a faithful member of the Community A.M.E. Church for fifty years until she co-founded The Greater Love Tabernacle Church where she worked tirelessly for twenty-seven years.
Mama Doris was preceded in death by her loving husband; Frank Ross. She leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters; Shirley (Mark) Davenport, Delores (Alvin) Wilbon, and Lena Long, one brother; Vernon Betts, twelve grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and twenty great great grandchildren.
