Doris Green's Obituary
Doris Roberta Green was born July 21, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan to John C. Green and Lucy Ann Green (Ward). She was raised by her stepfather, John W. Ward. Doris was the second of seven siblings.
She was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers; Diane Jones, Sylvester Ward, Bradley Ward, Patricia Nelson, and John W. Ward, II, and her grandson; Jamario Rider.
Doris Green married David Grant Gaines and to this union four children were born. Doris attended Bethel Church of the Apostolic; she also worked at Several Star Steel Manufacturing Company.
Doris loved to fish with her oldest daughter Lucy, she loved to cook with her daughter Toie, and she loved to talk about the bible with her daughter Rayna, and her baby boy Marco.
Doris leaves to cherish in her loving memory her children; Lucy Ann Gaines, Toie Gaines, Rayna Gaines, and Marco Gaines, grandchildren; Earnest Middleton, Latoyia Middleton, Justin Middleton, Tonie Gaines, Nedria Rider, Jayna Gaines, John Rider, Javien Rider, Marco Gaines, and Tianna Gaines. She also leaves nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives.
