Derryl E. Hunt, Jr.'s Obituary
Derryl E. Hunt, Jr., was born August 4, 1995 to Lynette (Hicks) Hunt and Derryl Hunt, Sr. He departed this life on October 7, 2016 after a short, sudden illness.
Derryl was a graduate of the Jackson High School Class of 2013. He was an outstanding basketball and baseball player during his school years. He was on the Homecoming Court all four years of high school and continued his education at Jackson Community College. At the time of his passing Derryl was employed at Dawn Foods Corp.
He was very soft spoken, and a respectable young man. He loved his family and friends, and loved spending time at home with his Mom. Derryl will be remembered for his infectious smile, and will be missed by all who knew him.
Derryl was preceded in death by his grandmother; Angelean Hunt, and great-grandparents; M.B. and Viola Hicks.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother; Lynette (Hicks) Hunt, father; Derryl E. Hunt, Sr., two sisters; Kaloni and Shaleah, grandmother; Allean Hicks, grandfather; Robert (Davetta) Hunt, Sr., thirteen aunts; Cynthia (Barry), Anita (special aunt), Ingrid, Lisa, Sylvia (Robert), Angela (Jemiase), Sheryl, Deena (Jay), Kendra, Latonia (Michael), Shalanda, Eulanda, and Raquel, seven uncles; Brian, Jason (Alicia), Robert (Crystal, special uncle and aunt), Kevin (Nalida), Karl (Lisa), Darius, and Kendall, a very special nephew; Kaison, who affectionately called him “Umpa Dee” and special friends; Asia Atkins “AA”, Latifah Heard, Kierra Moore, Lewis Moss (his barber), and Andy Hoaglin (his supervisor). He also leaves behind a host of extended family members and friends.
