Deborah Denise Freeman's Obituary
Deborah Denise (Griffin) Freeman was born June 13, 1956 to Shirley (Griffin) Brown and the late Raymond Griffin in Jackson, MI. Deborah (Debbie), transitioned on September 10, 2025 at the age of 69 in Houston, TX following a long courageous battle with heath issues.
Debbie is survived by her mother Shirley Brown of Jackson, MI, sisters Lisa (Lucian) Anderson and Kimberly Griffin of Houston, TX, Racine Griffin of Detroit, MI, Donna Lynn Brown of Jackson, Ml, one aunt Robbie Griffin, nieces LaToya (Anthony) Austin and Essence (Lexie) Griffin, nephews Lucian (Brandon) Anderson all of Houston, TX and Darius Griffin of Jackson, MI, nine great nieces and nephews, a special cousin Rhonda Sims, longtime friend Sharon Ayiro and her traveling companion Margaret Hobbs.
Extended family members Regina Turner Byrd, Tionna Turner, Chauntel Turner and Lamont Turner all of Minneapolis, MN.
Debbie attended Jackson Public Schools where she graduated from Jackson High in 1974. Shortly after graduation she moved to Minneapolis, MN. In 1989, Debbie relocated to Houston, TX to be closer to her sister and family. She worked for several airlines, which allowed her to travel the world. She lived life to the fullest without any regrets.
Debbie had a love for life, travel, shopping, family and friends. She was the queen of fashion with an infectious smile, laugh and a gift of communication as she always networked meeting new people. She was also a longtime member of Faith Temple Church.
