Charles E. Suddeth Sr.'s Obituary
Charles Edward Suddeth, Sr. – A United States Marine Veteran, went to be with the Lord on February 20, 2022 at his home with his family by his side.
Charles (Honey) Suddeth was born in Jackson, Michigan to the late Richard and LeDora Suddeth. He attended Jackson Public Schools and graduated from Jackson High School.
He was raised on a farm and loved farming, driving tractors, operating, and doing mechanical work on the combine and motor vehicles. He was a natural born mechanic!
Charles was employed at, and retired from, General Motors.
He was a true believer in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In his early years, he traveled and sang base with the late United Harmonizers. At his time of death, he had dedicated his life to God and was a member at the Church of God on South Street.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Suddeth; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, eleven siblings, a special cousin that he called “Brother” and two of his best friends, John Willis, Sr. and Pastor Frank Hampton, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memory his nine children: Dyetta Littlejohn (Phillip), Charles D. Suddeth (Donnell), Tammie Rice (Stanley), Sue Suddeth, Anthony Young, Vanessa Suddeth, Bartholomew Suddeth, Charles E. Suddeth, Jr. (Maadai), and Erainia Suddeth; two sisters: Joyce Suddeth Potter and Greta Suddeth Stewart, twenty-six grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren, whom he dearly loved. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
According to his wishes, Charles Edward “Honey” Suddeth has been cremated. He will be dearly missed.
