As the youngest child, Charles was given the nickname of, “Pee Wee” but he was truly a giant, with a kind heart and giving nature.
Charles moved to Michigan in the mid 1970’s where he met and married Alberta Jeanette James on August 25, 1979 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. To this union two children were born, Charles, Jr. and Wilbert James Ford.
In July of 2002, after completing 30 years of service Charles retired from the Chrysler Sterling Heights Facility where he did the, “Dirtiest Jobs” (his words) which kept the plant clean.
A devoted husband and father, Charles was an avid fisherman who taught many the joy of fishing from his boat. He was the family cook and master of the bar-b-que grill. Meals were prepared with LOVE, great skill, and PATIENCE.
