Cassie L Eatmon's Obituary
Cassie Lee Eatmon, 89, went home to be with the Lord after an extended illness on Thursday, April 29, 2021, at her home here in Jackson, Michigan. Cassie was born on July 26, 1931 in Macon, Tenneesee, to the late John Sanders and Bernice Williams.
Cassie loved the Lord and became saved at an early age. She spent most of her life in service to her family. She was the stay at home person in taking care of the young children while everyone over 8 years old went off to work in the cotton fields. She also worked at The Brown Hut Restaurant here in Jackson until she retired in 1992. After retirement Cassie became a second grandmother to her cousins Barbara A. Parker (Pookie) and her two children; Leia Sumner Glaspie, and Perrise (Binky) Stewart.
Cassie was preceded in death by her mother; Bernice Winfield (Henry Winfield) and grandmother; Mary W. Williams.
She leaves to cherish in her memory, cousins; Barbara A. Parker (Pookie), Perrise Stewart, Barbara J. Bowen of Jackson, Michigan, Leia Glaspie-Sumner, of Winter Haven, Florida, and eldest cousin; Robert (Main) Howard of Columbus, Ohio, and numerous family members and friends.
During Cassie’s long extended illness she was cared for with unwavering sacrifice, dedication, love, and kindness by her cousin; Barbara A. (Pookie) Parker. Thank You Pookie.
