Benjamin Thomas' Obituary
Benjamin J. Thomas was born to Joseph and Nettie Norris Thomas on September 4, 1930 in Jackson Michigan. He went home to be with the Lord on November 12, 2020.
Benjamin, also known as “BJ”, was a loving person and was loved dearly by his family. He enjoyed encouraging the development of kids in school. He enjoyed bowling, golf, hunting and fishing. Ben retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber after 31 years of service. He also worked at Jackson Public Schools as security and ticket taker at sporting events. Ben was an Airforce Veteran. Serving as a Sergeant in the Korean War. Ben played multiple instruments in the military band.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Joseph and Nettie Thomas, sisters; Flossie Thomas, Gladys Thomas, Lou Ella Thomas, Cornelia Goodall and Annie May Bicy, and brothers; Joe Lee Thomas, Jr, Henry Thomas, and Jessie Thomas, also one grandson; Mario Cosey.
He is survived by his son; Ben (Judy) Thomas, Jr. of Jackson Michigan, and daughter; Aprill Goodlow of Atlanta Georgia, one brother; Eugene Thomas of Jackson Michigan, and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, along with his love later in life; Karen Buckner.
