Azar Bradshaw's Obituary
Azar Bradshaw was born on September 6, 1931 to Hasley and Clinabelle (Parks) Bradshaw in Dyersburg,Tennessee. He was one of two children. As a teenager, Azar worked and earned money to take care of himself and his sister, Betty Joe.
In 1946, he moved to Jackson, Michigan, where he did custodial cleaning with cousins and concrete work with uncles. Afterwards, he had employment with Corning Glass Works in Albion, Michigan. In 1953, Azar was employed at Fisher Body, on the assembly line. To obtain a better position, Azar attended Lansing Community College; he then worked in skill trade as a Journeyman Millwright until he retired in 1995.
In 1951, Azar married his best friend and soulmate; Oree Virginia Hurd. As their union grew unconditionally, six children were born. Their marriage lasted 53 years until Oree’s death.
Azar was preceded in death by his wife; Oree Bradshaw, both parents, his sister; Betty J. Barnes, four daughters; Jacqueline Rose, LaBarbara “Diane”, Terresa Linnette, and Melva Renee, and a grandson; Mark Bradshaw Jr.
Azar made his transition on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at his home in Jackson, Michigan.
Azar leaves to cherish his memory two sons; Lawrence Bradshaw Sr. (Deanna), and Mark Bradshaw Sr. (Valerie), both of Jackson, Michigan, ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
A private burial will be held for Azar with his immediate family. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
