Arthur Lee Woodgett's Obituary
Arthur Lee Woodgett was born in Talladega, Alabama on May 4, 1939 to the union of Robert Woodgett and Susie Funderburg, the second eldest of eight siblings.
Arthur, who had many other affectionate nicknames such as Oldfolks, Mr. Bubbles and Little Shorty Love, came to Detroit in the early sixties
where he worked at Peters Sausage, Chrysler, and Omni Care. In the late seventies, he met and married the love of his life, Verlis.
Arthur was an exceptional athlete; he played baseball, was a top flight bowler, and an avid golfer. He loved to play cards and dominoes, but
those who knew Art best knew that he loved to dance. When he was just a little younger, he could dance all night!
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters; Mary Lou, Susie Mae and Minnie Lee (Penny).
He is survived by his wife; Verlis, one sister; Rose, three brothers; Booker, James and Willie and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
