Annie Ruth Hendrix's Obituary
Annie Ruth Ford was born on June 13, 1952 to the parents of Willie Mae Gibson and the late John L. Ford. Annie was the second oldest out of six siblings. At an early age, Annie accepted Christ and was baptized at Christland Missionary Baptist Church under the Reverend C.L. Branch.
Annie grew up in Peoria, Illinois and Mississippi for the first years of her life. Iin 1973 she met and married Raymond Hendrix; out of this union three kids were born; LaKisha Ford, Tamecka Ford and Raymond Ford Jr.
Annie spent most of her time playing cards dancing singing and spending time with her grandkids although she had many friends she had one best friend; Joyce Daniel Brooks. Joyce made Annie the Godmother of her daughter Lavenia Daniels. She also has one godson; Cortez Edmond.
Annie completed her Mission and was called home on April 15, 2020 while resting peacefully in her bed surrounded by her loved ones, husband; Raymond, granddaughter; Takisha and Sister Cassandra at the age of 67.
She was preceded in death by her father; Deacon John L. Ford and brother; Jerry Dean Gibson.
Annie Ruth Ford leaves behind to celebrate her life her loving and devoted husband; Raymond Hendrix, mother; Willie Mae Ford, sister; Cassandra, brothers; John Michael, Jerome and Jerry Ford Jr., daughters, Tamecka and Lakisha Ford, son; Raymond Ford Jr., eleven grandkids; Ricardo, Takeisha and Dezjuan Smith, Tameya Humphrey, Jeremiah Watson, Giovanni Paluch, Kristi Harris, Ikesha Ikeya and Ikela Hall, five great grandkids; Nuraya Pryor, Madison Sanders Jaykeis and Kejonnay Hall and Kassiddi Smith and a host of nieces and nephews, uncles and aunties and friends.
Annie touched many hearts; she loved and was loved by many Annie. AKA “Cakie Baby” will always be remembered (cakey baby). As you lay me down to rest do not cry my father has called me home, this is not goodbye remember me as Cakey Baby and always speak my name though you can’t see or touch me, my love stays the same, my mission is complete
