Alicia E. Foster-Hutton's Obituary
Alicia E. Foster-Hutton was born in Tunica, Mississippi to the late Joe Willie and Elether Wright on March 30, 1952. She accepted Christ at a young age at Messiah Baptist Church. She was the fifth eldest of fourteen children, four preceded her in death.
She later moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1956 with her family. Alicia loved singing, dancing, gardening, and most of all cooking. She enjoyed cooking for the holidays for her friends and her family. During family gatherings she spent time playing cards such as spades, bid whiz, and rummy 1500.
She graduated from the University of Michigan in 1976 with a certification in Nutrition. Later she met George Hutton in 1993, and married in 2002, he was her soulmate. After moving to Hamtramck, Alicia began working as a chef, where she later retired to continue her life as a homemaker.
She leaves to rejoice in her memory six children; Alicia (Randy) Douglas of Maryland, David Johnson-Wright (Tracey Olds), Karmelda, Karniece Foster (William Hollins, III), Neefesha Foster (Kevin Marion, Jr.), and Pierre Foster, nine siblings; Melvin Lee, Margaret Ann, Mary Louise (Curtis) Lee, John, Providence, Joe Willie Jr., Karen Lynn, Venio Elether, Janette (Saul) Gaines, seventeen grandchildren, one great grandchild, and one great grandchild on the way, and a host of nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
