Afford Hall's Obituary
Afford Hall was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on January 4, 1933 to David Hall and Rebecca Hall.
On January 31,1953 he married the love of his life, Juanice Hall, with whom he spent sixty-four loving years. Eleven children were added to that union along with forty-two grandchildren, about seventy great-grands and great-greats are still being added.
Afford worked at Gilbert Steak House and Gilbert’s candy store before moving on to work at Knickerbocker, the industrial shop where he eventually retired.
He enjoyed softball, bowling, golfing and riding around the neighborhoods with frequent trips to McDonald’s for fellowship with some of the guys while enjoying what he called “the best coffee in town”. He had a passion for helping people in the community and could often be found working on someone’s car, lawn-mower, etc.
He was a deacon at Southside Baptist Church for many years where he gave his heart to the Lord. In his later years he became a member at Second Missionary Baptist.
Afford was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers; Will Shoffner, Chester Field Hall, and Ace Hall, his sisters; Josephine Hunter, Irene Robinson, Margaret Hall and Kate Ash, two sons; David and Dennis Hall, one granddaughter; Shrae Monique Hall, a grandson; Jamar Akines and a son-in-law; Bob Graham.
Afford leaves to cherish his memories his dedicated and loving wife; Juanice Hall, a loving family of nine children; Betty(Jack) Norris, Patricia Graham, Adella Hall, Floyd Hall, Alfred Hall, Juandry(Diane) Hall, Sara Walters, Douglas(Cynthia) Hall, and Tajwana Hall, a daughter-in-law; Lorna Hall, many grandchildren and a host of great-grands, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
