Ernestine Campbell

Ernestine Campbell was born in Robertson County, Texas on May 31, 1927 to Minnie Ola Mathis and George Mathis, she accepted Jesus Christ as her lord and savior at a very early age. Ernestine was employed through Foote Hospital for over 32 years as a ward clerk, retiring in 1992. In her leisure, Ernestine enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, rooting for her Pistons as well as the Tigers. She loved playing cards and bowling. She was a joy to everyone who knew her. Ernestine was a member of Second Missionary Baptist Church. Ernestine was preceded in death by her parents; Minnie Ola and George Mathis, one daughter; Donna Williams, three siblings; Georgia (Robert) Davis, Emerson (Mattie) Mathis and Robert Calloway. She is survived by daughter; Joanne Wright, sons; Michael Campbell, and Dwayne (Sherrie) Campbell, sixteen grandchildren Damar (Tammy), Terry, Kamari (Willie), LaQuenta, Kismet, Eddie, Khaliah, Eian (Amber), Michelle, Brittany, Brandi, La’Tesha, Donte, Malcolm, Chanell, Nathan, and Michaela, twenty-one great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
