Craig Darnell Ozier

November 13, 1957 - November 5, 2019

Craig Darnell Ozier, 61, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday,November 5, 2019. He was born November 13, 1957 to Barbara (Richmond) andFrank Ozier, Jr., who both preceded him in death. Craig accepted the Lord and at an early age and continued his belief throughouthis life. Craig attended Jackson Public Schools and held a few different jobs untilhis health began to fail. Craig’s favorite past times were playing Chess and Dominoes, and he wasespecially passionate about poker and pool; he thought he was the best at allof them! During the summer months he loved driving or riding around blastingmusic with his brother, and best friend, George. He always wanted to joke andlaugh with people, whether he knew you or not. Craig loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren; you better notlet him hear you say anything about them! He jokingly corrected his grandchildrenwhenever they called him grandpa saying, “you call me “The General”.Craig was loved by so many, and will be dearly missed. He leaves to cherish his memories two sons: Michael (Latrivia) Guinn of Richmond,Texas and Jason (Talisha) Guinn of Jackson, Michigan; two daughters: Mea Knightof Laurel, Mississipi and LaTrisha Shoemaker of Jackson, Michigan, three bonuschildren that he affectionately raised as his own: Edward Shoemaker, BrittanyShoemaker and Trenton Nace, all of Jackson, Michigan, three brothers: RogerOzier of Muskegon, Michigan, Michael (Thelma) Ozier and Tyrone Richmond, allof Jackson, Michigan; four sisters: Janese (Eddie) Askew of Redford, Michigan,Rose Davis of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Penny Pulley of St. Petersburg, Florida,and Rhonda (Ned) Sims of Jackson, Michigan; his last surviving aunt: ShirleyBrown of Jackson, Michigan, ten grandchildren: Tahj’a, Dominique, Mi’kayle,Michael, Donique, Takobe, A’lijah, I’saiah, Anye, and Taelynn, one greatgrandchild:Kaiden, six bonus grandchildren: Adre’on, Dreon, Ter’Reon, Edward,Jr, Elonnie and Marianna. He also leaves his close friend that he considered his brother: George Brown, aspecial family friend: Chaquita Willis, who he lovingly called daughter-in-law,
