Carl Frederick Morrison, Sr. passed away May 3, 2016 at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice House at the age of 95. He was born September 5, 1920 in Hannibal, Missouri to Benjamin F. and Minnie M. Morrison. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister; Chrysolia Burton, brothers; Benjamin F. Morrison, Jr., William F. Morrison, Sr., and Richard L. Morrison. Mr. Morrison was a veteran, and served in the U.S. Army in World War II. After discharge from the service, he moved to Jackson, Michigan, and became employed at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, where he retired from after thirty-one years. He was an avid golfer who played in several leagues and earned many trophies; he was also an avid bowler. Mr. Morrison, who had a sophisticated quiet spirit, was a beloved member of Community A.M.E. Church, where he was well loved by his Pastor and the membership. It can also be said that Mr. Morrison was devoted to his family and will be sorely missed. He is survived by his loving wife; Patricia M. Morrison, son; Carl F. Morrison, Jr. of Maywood, Illinois, step-daughter; Sherrianne Tyler of Commerce, Michigan., special nephew; William F. Morrison, Jr. (Connie), special niece; Minnie L. Smith (Philip) of Hannibal, Missouri, five grandchildren, one step-grandson, and four great-grandchildren, as well as many other nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
